I entered the transportation industry after working several years in retail. In retail there were no benefits and not much room for advancement. If anyone has worked in retail before they would know one of the biggest challenges is dealing with customers. At our store the motto was the customer is always right. No matter how rude and disrespectful they have been the customers are still right. With that policy “of the customer is always right” I knew it was time for a change. Although I enjoyed the flexible hours, I had little to no patience with dealing with retail any longer. My knowledge of the trucking came from my father. My father was a truck driver so I knew the pros and cons of the transportation industry. When I first started to work for Quality Carriers they were just opening my position so learning a new role was quite the challenge? But overall, I have enjoyed being a part of the Quality Carriers family.
